I often remind my congregation of this truth: When you know your purpose in life, you’ve already solved half of your problems. Why is this so important? Because many believers have unknowingly stepped onto paths that God never planned or assigned for them. They’ve taken jobs, pursued careers, entered relationships, or made decisions that seemed right at the time but were never part of God’s plan. The result? Stress, frustration, pain, and even unnecessary suffering.
Imagine this, you’re using a tool for something it wasn’t designed for. Maybe you’re trying to hammer a nail with a screwdriver or cut wood with a knife instead of a saw. It’s not that the tool is bad, it’s just not being used for its intended purpose. This is what life feels like when we’re outside of God’s purpose for us. We may try harder, push through, or force things to work, but the effort feels heavy and unfulfilling because we’re not walking in alignment with what God created us to do.
