14 Characteristics of a Godly Man
He loves God first. A godly man puts God above everything else, above money, success, and even his own desires. He knows that real strength comes from walking closely with God every day.
He leads with humility. A godly man doesn’t boast or seek praise. He leads by example, serving others with a humble heart and giving God the glory in every victory.
He is faithful. Whether in marriage, friendship, or work, a godly man is loyal. His word means something. He stands by what he promises and honors his commitments.
He walks in integrity. He does the right thing even when no one is watching. His life reflects honesty, discipline, and a clean heart before God.
He loves his family deeply. A godly man protects, provides, and prays for his home. He loves his wife as Christ loves the church and raises his children in the way of the Lord.
He controls his emotions. A godly man doesn’t let anger or pride rule him. He thinks before he speaks and seeks peace instead of conflict.
He is prayerful. He takes everything to God in prayer, his fears, dreams, and decisions. He knows that without God’s direction, he can do nothing.
He forgives easily. A godly man doesn’t hold grudges. He chooses forgiveness because he understands how much God has forgiven him.
He seeks wisdom. Instead of depending on his own knowledge, he listens to God’s Word and wise counsel. He wants to grow in wisdom every day.
He works diligently. A godly man is not lazy. He works hard, not just for money, but to honor God with the work of his hands.
He loves truth. He stands for what is right, even when it’s unpopular. His values are built on God’s Word, not on what society says.
He serves others. He finds joy in helping people. He gives without expecting anything in return, knowing that true greatness comes from serving.
He walks in faith, not fear. Even when life is hard, he chooses to trust God’s plan. He knows that every trial is a step toward God’s purpose for him.
He lives to glorify God. A godly man’s ultimate goal is not fame or power, it’s to please God with his life. Everything he does points back to Christ.
