Prayer Points on I Will Do a New Thing
If you’re reading this right now, I want you to pause, because this moment isn’t ordinary. You didn’t just stumble across these words. This isn’t just a search result. This is a divine invitation.
I tell my church family all the time, it takes God one moment to change everything. Just one second. One touch from His hand. And everything can shift. That’s how powerful He is.
Maybe you’ve been carrying something heavy. Maybe life feels like it’s closing in on you. Maybe you’re wondering how much longer you can hold on. But I came to tell you, from the bottom of my soul, God is not done with you. He’s still doing new things. Right now. Not next year. Not in someone else’s life, but in your life.
I know it might feel like you’re stuck, or that the problem is too big. But let me say this as clearly as I can, what you’re facing is small to God. That mountain? He can move it. That battle? He’s already won it. That door that looks sealed shut? He can open it like it was never closed.
Don’t let the weight of your situation fool you into thinking God forgot about you. He hasn’t. He sees you. He hears you. And he’s closer than you think.
You didn’t come across this message by chance. You were drawn here. Called here. Because God wanted to remind you that He’s still God. He’s still good. And he’s still working behind the scenes, doing something new, just for you. Hold on. Keep trusting. Your second is coming.
Don’t just pray this prayer today, pray this prayer and keep meditating on it. Believe that he can do it, and the new thing you are expecting will manifest when you least expect it
1. Prayer for Divine Expectation
Almighty God, You are the Author of new beginnings and the One who makes all things fresh again. I come to You with my heart wide open, asking You to move in a way that only You can. I don’t want to go through the motions or settle for less than what you have for me. Lord, I am expecting You to do something brand new in my life.
Give me eyes to see it and a heart ready to receive it. If there are things you need to shift in me, I surrender them. I welcome your hand in my story. Let this be a new chapter, filled with your presence and direction. Show up and show out, God. I know you will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
2. Prayer for Breaking Every Old Cycle
Father in Heaven, You know every cycle I’ve been stuck in. You know the delays, the disappointments, the failures that keep playing on repeat. Today, I am declaring that those cycles stop right here. I am not going in circles anymore.
By the name of Jesus, I break every cycle of fear, shame, and confusion. I break every pattern that keeps dragging me backward. I ask you to fill every space that used to be filled with struggle, and instead pour your peace, joy, and freedom into it. I will not live by the old script. I believe a new story is beginning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
3. Prayer for Clarity in This New Season
Lord Jesus, I need You more than ever. There are so many voices and distractions pulling at my heart. But I only want to hear Yours. Show me clearly what you are doing. Shine your light on my next steps. Give me the wisdom to walk in Your will.
I don’t want to guess my way through life. I want to walk with purpose. I want to move forward in faith, knowing that You are right beside me. Remove confusion, Lord. Clear my path. Help me to trust Your timing and follow Your lead. In Your name I pray, Amen.
4. Prayer for a Way in the Wilderness
Way-Maker, I know You see the dry places in my life. You see the areas where I’ve hit dead ends. But you are the God who makes a way where there is no way.
I ask you now to open doors no one can shut. I ask for favor in places I never thought I’d find it. Let streams of blessing flow in the middle of my desert. Let the barren places bloom with new life. I don’t want to rely on my own strength. I trust you to do the impossible. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
5. Prayer for Letting Go of the Past
Redeemer God, I know I can’t step into something new if I’m still holding on to what’s behind me. Help me to let go of the past. Help me release the pain, the guilt, the regrets, and even the memories that weigh me down.
I forgive those who hurt me. I forgive myself. I choose to believe that you are bigger than what I went through. I trust that you are healing me, restoring me, and preparing something better. Let me not live in yesterday when you are calling me into something brand new today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
6. Prayer for Fresh Oil and Fire
Holy Spirit, I need a fresh touch from You. I need new oil in my spirit and new fire in my heart. Life has drained me. I’ve been tired, distracted, and disconnected. But I want to feel you again. I want to burn with passion for you.
Anoint me again, Lord. Wake up everything inside me that’s been asleep. Stir up the gifts you put in me. Let my heart catch fire for prayer, for worship, and for Your Word. I don’t want to just exist. I want to live full of purpose and full of power. Breathe on me, Lord. Let the fire fall fresh. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
7. Prayer for God to Rebuild What Was Broken
Father, I bring You every broken piece of my life. There are places in me that feel shattered by loss, disappointment, and pain. But I know you’re a God who rebuilds. You take ruins and turn them into testimonies. You take what’s been crushed and make it whole.
So I’m laying it all before you. My broken dreams. My broken relationships. My broken confidence. Lord, take them. Rebuild them in your time, in your way, with your strength. I’m not asking for the life I used to have, I’m asking for the new life you want to give me. Rebuild something better than I ever imagined. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
8. Prayer for Healing in Hidden Places
Lord, I know how to smile through pain. I know how to hide the hurt and act like I’m fine. But you see right through all that. You know where I’m really struggling, even when no one else does. I need you to touch those hidden places. The parts of me that still hurt when I’m alone. The memories I don’t talk about. The fears I carry deep inside.
God, heal me from the inside out. Reach places I didn’t even know were wounded. Let your love come in and fix what trauma broke. I don’t want to pretend anymore. I want to be whole. I want to be free. And I know you’re the only one who can do it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
9. Prayer for New Strength and Endurance
Father, I’m tired. Not just physically, but deep down. Life has been heavy, and some days it feels like I’m running on empty. But you promised to renew my strength. You said those who wait on You would rise up like eagles. So here I am waiting, trusting, believing.
Fill me with fresh strength for this season. Give me energy that only comes from heaven. Let me run and not get weary. Let me walk and not faint. Remind me that you’re walking with me, even when I feel worn out. Lord, give me the endurance to keep showing up. I will not quit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
10. Prayer for a New Mindset
God, sometimes the biggest battle is in my own mind. I can feel you calling me forward, but my thoughts keep dragging me back. Help me break free from negative thinking. Help me stop doubting what you’ve already said about me. Teach me how to take every thought captive and line it up with Your truth.
Lord, give me a new mindset. One that believes the best. One that speaks life. One that expects good things instead of fearing the worst. I want to think like you think. I want to believe what you believe about me. Wash my mind with Your Word and renew it day by day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
11. Prayer for Divine Alignment
Father, line my life up with Your will. I don’t want to keep chasing things that don’t lead to you. I don’t want to waste time on things that look good but aren’t right for me. Align my steps with your plan. Show me where to go, what to say, and who to walk with.
If anything or anyone in my life is pulling me off course, remove it. I want to be in sync with heaven. I want to move when you move. I don’t want to rush ahead, and I don’t want to lag behind. Keep me in step with Your Spirit. Let every part of my life line up with Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer for God Will Do a New Thing
Heavenly Father, you are the God who speaks into nothing and brings life. You’re the same yesterday, today, and forever, but you’re always doing something new. You don’t recycle old blessings. You create fresh ones. You don’t just repair the broken, you restore it better than before.
Lord, thank You for being the kind of God who still shows up. Even in seasons where everything feels dry, you are the Living Water. Even in the silence, you are still speaking. Even in the waiting, you are still working.
Right now, I lift every part of my life that needs Your touch. Where there’s been delay, bring acceleration. Where there’s been loss, bring restoration. Where things have been stuck, let them shift. Where I’ve been weary, breathe fresh strength into my soul.
Every old weight, every dead end, every closed chapter, I place it in Your hands. Let every door you’ve shut stay closed. And every door You’ve opened, Lord, give me the courage to walk through it.
Let this be a season where you rewrite the story. A season where impossible things begin to happen. A season where the things I prayed for in secret begin to unfold in the open.
Do something in my life that I didn’t even know to ask for. Surprise me with your goodness. Let Your grace break through places I thought were too far gone. Make a way that only you can. Let me see rivers form in the dry places. Let the wilderness bloom again.
Your Word says You will do a new thing, so I believe it. I speak it over my life. I expect it. And I receive it. Do what only You can do, Lord. Make it clear. Make it beautiful. Make it Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
